I had a little trip to the Range and bought a few bits and bobs…some lilac and pink felt sheets, pastel buttons, a selection of spring coloured ribbon reels, some little storage boxes and this lovely wool…this is to knit a scarf for my niece…
….the colours in this wool are so “cheery”…my niece is not a girly girl so these colours should be perfect for her!
We also went to visit my grandparents yesterday afternoon…the children loved bouncing on their beds like trampolines…lol…my Gran has started to teach me to crochet…I started with the chain stitch yesterday…oh my it’s tricky…but she said I have to practice…so I will!

It was TSG SAL night last night…and here is my progress..I added some smaller motifs and the date last night. I am so surprised how quickly this is stitching up with only one evenings stitching each week….
I have been stitching on some exchange pieces and gifts so I have no other stitching to show….

What lovely bits and pieces your Gran gave you and lovely stash from the Range. I wish we had one here but the nearest one is 20 odd miles away. Maybe that's a good thing though!
Love the exhcange piece sent. How lovely for you to have your nan to teach you to crochet and for her to pass her things onto you. Thank you for your help with the knitting. Love the colour of the wool for the scarf. Look forward to your stash clearout lol.

Your SAL is coming along beautifully! You are so lucky to have gotten a great "hand-me-down" gift from your gran! Those are always the best presents in my opinion.

Your pouch is darling!! I just love San Man's sense of humor. Looks like you got a lovely heirloom from your grandmother, what a wonderful gift she gave you both in the form of the box and its contents but also another needleart to enjoy. Do so.
