Gift from Becka….

I was one of the lucky girls chosen to receive one of Becka’s Birthday packages this year….when I returned home the other day a lovely parcel was waiting for me on the doormat….some gorgeous fabric, lace, ribbon, a Halloween themed kit, some CK tissues, buttons…oh and some love heart sweets but they didn’t make it to the photo…tee hee!! Thank you Becka it was such a treat to receive it :)

I have finished a few Christmas gifts off this week….I am unable to show you those I’m afraid….but I can show you these….my finally finished kitchen complete with new floor, cooker and pinboard…it’s taken 10 months but it is finally there….

 

We went trick or treating on Wednesday evening, unfortunately the weather was unkind to us and we got absolutely soaked to the skin but the kiddiewinks loved it…..anything for copious amounts of sweeties…

I have been to a tutorial in Leeds this morning it was very interesting discussing Homer’s Odyssey and Iliad and looking at Greek pottery….the kiddiewinks have spent the day with my parents and have gone to a bonfire party, tomorrow they are with their Dad for the day so I hope to do some studies in the morning and some crafts after lunch…

Strawberry Delight!!

A wonderful package arrived this morning from Lei, we took part in a private exchange and here is what she stitched for me…isn’t it absolutely beautiful, the pictures don’t do it justice, it is stitched and finished so perfectly…Thank you so much Lei :0)

I’ve been busy doing some UFO stitching…I’m trying to finish a few small UFO’s before starting anything new….let’s see if I manage it or get tempted by a new start!

A little more kitchen progress…my dad came and cut the counter and moved the cooker,  ready to make way for the breakfast bar…which is the next job….it’s looking good though…oh and put the bunting up

Now that the table is in the kitchen….finally after over 2 years of being packed away and relegated to a dusty corner in my bedroom….my much loved stitching cabinet has been unearthed and my baskets have been refilled with stitched treasures…..I am so happy that I can admire all the wonderful stitching that I have received from my stitching and blogging friends (there are still many more which are going to be displayed in my bedroom once that has been renovated)…

That’s all todays news…I have jumped onto the 50 Shades of Grey bandwagon so will be spending the evening with a book later…I want to read what all the hype is about!

I decided to add a bit of brightness to my blog the pale pink was getting me down….from one extreme to the other…lol

Just Perfect & Adorable PIF Gift…

That’s really all I can say about the pillow that arrived for me this morning from Gaynor…it’s in my favourite colours…from one of my most favourite books “Little Women” and from one of my favourite designers too….and along with this Gaynor also sent me Cath Kidston’s Label & Sticker Book too…what a treat….do you want to see the Perfect & Adorable PIF Gift…well here it is…

Been very busy decorating here…the lounge is just about done…my dad (who is a decorator) is coming tomorrow to paper the chimney breast which is having a feature wallpaper on it, Mark is busy doing the trim around the laminate flooring and then we can start making look like a room again!! I will be busy framing some pieces of my stitching to put up in one of the alcoves….photo’s will follow once it’s all complete.

I have been busy stitching for exchanges, giveaway’s and PIF’s so no stitching to show at the moment I am saddened to say.
