Birthday Weekend!

Yesterday I celebrated my 39th birthday and I had a fantastic time the whole weekend.

As the children were with their Daddy this weekend, Mark and I went to Hull for the day to do some shopping, I had been given money by my parents so I started with a visit to Hobbycraft…my first one and it will most definitely not be my last..teehee! I bought some beads for edging my ornaments..10 packs in fact of all different colours. A full set of Fymo colours and tools as I would like to start making pin toppers.

We then had a lovely lunch by the Princes Quay I had chicken, pesto and spinach wrap which was divine :0)..then I went and got my birthday gift from Mark…

I finally had the children’s names tattooed on the inside of my wrists…and OMG it was painful, the skin is so thin there, but they feel fine now. I also went shoe and handbag shopping and bought some lovely hair accessories and jewellery.

We were treated to dinner by Mark’s mum and then we all (Mark, his mum, brother and nephews) went to Hull Fair for the evening, I was a chicken and went on NO rides…but a did hook a duck and buy some Candy Floss!!

Yesterday my actual birthday..I opened my cards and gifts from my grandparents a lovely necklace and earring set and choccies (eaten the same day!), my online friends Kath and Tara sent me lovely ribbon embroidery kits and Waterlillies threads…and from Michelle I received this exquisite cushion kit and friends book…I love it.

Daddy brought the kids back for 11am so we could go out, the kids had chosen a lovely necklace and bracelet for me in lovely bright colours..a perfect choice…we went out for lunch at a local pub…yummy…and then went for a wander around the retail park. So a busy but fab weekend was had by all.

Hope everyone else had a good one too…

Hugs and stitches

Glad you had a nice day Elisa - you are so brave with your tattoo's. I had a little heart on my thigh last year and it didn't hurt a bit but I can imagine on your underside of your wrist must have hurt. Well done on being so brave. Pleased you liked your present. Sounds like you had some wonderful gifts and were truly spoilt. By the way, Amazon have just despatched Cath Kidstons new book 'Stitch' to me! Love Michelle x
